Amnon Wolman

Amnon Wolman is an Israeli-American musician and composer, born in 1955. He holds a doctorate in music composition and has a diverse portfolio that includes works involving computer-generated sounds, symphonic pieces, vocal and chamber music, film scores, and music for theater and dance. Wolman has taught at several prestigious institutions such as Northwestern University, Tel Aviv University, Stanford University, and Brooklyn College. His compositions have been premiered by notable artists and ensembles, including Heinz Holliger, Charles Neidich, and Ensemble Modern. Wolman's work has been recognized with awards and grants from various organizations, including the Eastman Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation.

Wolman's recent compositions reflect his interest in technology and social interactions, often exploring the relationship between performers and artists. His music has been featured in numerous festivals and exhibitions, showcasing his versatility and innovative approach to sound art. Currently, he is on the faculty of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, continuing to contribute to the world of contemporary music through his teaching and creative endeavors.
