The Resonars

**The Resonars** are the brainchild of Tucson-based multi-instrumentalist Matt Rendon, a one-man powerhouse blending 1960s-inspired power pop and garage rock with a modern DIY twist. Since the project’s 1990s origins, Rendon has acted as the band’s primary songwriter, vocalist, and performer—often recording all instruments himself—to craft jangly guitar-driven tunes brimming with psychedelic harmonies and punchy rhythms. After a hiatus in the early 2000s, Rendon revived The Resonars, doubling down on their retro aesthetic while earning praise for albums like *Nonetheless Blue* (2016) and *Lunar Kit* (2019), which channel the melodic charm of bands like The Beatles and The Zombies. With releases like *Bright and Dark* (2021), the project continues to deliver sun-soaked hooks and lo-fi warmth, cementing Rendon as a cult hero for fans of timeless, analog-flavored rock.
