Leif Solberg

**Leif Solberg** (1914–2016) was a Norwegian composer, organist, and church musician whose work beautifully blended traditional Norwegian folk influences with liturgical traditions. Known for his evocative organ compositions and choral works, Solberg spent much of his life in Lillehammer, where he served as a church organist and dedicated himself to creating music rooted in both sacred and folk traditions. His pieces often carry a serene, introspective quality, reflecting his deep connection to Norway’s landscapes and cultural heritage.

Recent releases like *Solberg: Orchestral, Choral & Organ Music* and *Tread Warily My Soul* showcase his timeless style, offering listeners a glimpse into his rich catalog of organ-driven harmonies and choral textures. Though less widely celebrated internationally during his lifetime, Solberg’s music remains a cherished part of Norway’s classical and sacred music legacy.
