Yr Poetry
Yr Poetry is a Birmingham-based pop punk duo consisting of Alexei Berrow on guitar and Junior Laidley on drums. Both members are long-term friends and have been part of other notable bands, including Johnny Foreigner and other projects like itoldyouiwouldeatyou and Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam. Yr Poetry has released several EPs, including *No Tribes* (2014), *Rocket Season* (2016), *One Night Alive* (2017), *Lost Boys* (2017), and *Home Movies* (2020). They have also experimented with a subscription model for their music and have toured extensively across the UK and Europe, as well as Japan. Their music often blends chaotic math rock guitar riffs with melodic percussion, creating a dynamic and energetic sound. In 2021, they signed with Alcopop Records and released the single "Porthmadog, dog," showcasing their unique blend of punk energy and melodic sensibilities.
