The Poster Boy

**The Poster Boy** is a Hungarian indie rock band from Budapest, formed in 2011. The band consists of Imre Poniklo from Amber Smith, Noel R. Mayer from The Walrus, and Michael Zwecker from Kispál és a borz, along with Zoltán Fehér "Szegecs." They came together while discussing the Hungarian indie scene in a Budapest bar. Their music career includes several notable albums, such as *Things We Had Time For* (2012), *Melody* (2012), *Bonjour, C'est Pop Deux* (2012), *On the Count of Three* (2017), and their latest release, *Hooks* (2023). The band's style is characterized by a focus on crafting good songs rather than reinventing music.

The Poster Boy's discography reflects a blend of indie rock with influences from various musical backgrounds. Their albums often feature a mix of new and previously released tracks, showcasing their evolving sound. Despite a hiatus, the band reunited in 2021 and has since continued to produce music, including their recent album *Hooks*, which was followed by a live performance in Budapest.
