Sparifankal

Sparifankal was a unique Bavarian band known for their political lyrics in the Bavarian dialect. Formed in 1972, they were part of the social and political movements of the 1970s, often performing free concerts and participating in benefit events for socially disadvantaged groups. The band's style, coined as "Rübelmusik" by Till Obermaier, blended elements of blues and folk with a distinctly Bavarian flavor. Their music addressed themes such as consumerism and social issues, as seen in albums like "Bayern-Rock" (1976) and "Negamusi" (1981).

Sparifankal operated as a commune and was active until the early 1980s before disbanding. However, they reunited in 1999 and continued performing until their final breakup in 2005. The band's legacy includes a distinctive blend of music and activism, reflecting the cultural and political landscape of their time. Their later work included the album "Dahoam is wo andas" (2004), which marked one of their final releases before disbanding for good.
