Giovanni Miszczyszyn

Giovanni Miszczyszyn is an accomplished Italian flautist known for his expertise in both historical and modern flute performance. He studied at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Turin and has deepened his understanding of period performance practices through master classes with renowned flautists such as Peter-Lukas Graf, Aurèle Nicolet, and Jean-Pierre Rampal. Miszczyszyn is recognized for his work with traversiere flute (the Baroque flute) and has recorded significant works such as Tommaso Giordani's 6 flute concertos and Giuseppe Sarti's 6 sonatas for traversiere flute and basso continuo. He also collaborates with the Ensemble Tangueando, featuring as a soloist on Astor Piazzolla’s "The Four Seasons and Other Tangos," showcasing his versatility across classical and tango repertoires.

Based in Turin, Miszczyszyn leads the Instrumental Ensemble of Accademia del Santo Spirito and has recorded in notable venues such as the Chiesa della Santa Spirito. Beyond performance, he contributes to exhibitions and projects, notably performing at cultural events like the Forte di Bard exhibition in Aosta.
