Masta Killa

Masta Killa, born as Elgin Turner on August 18, 1969, is a revered figure in the hip-hop community, renowned for his membership in the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. As one of the nine original members, his career took a pivotal turn in 1993 when he made his debut on the track "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'" from the group's acclaimed album "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)." Known for his calm demeanor and contemplative lyrical style, Masta Killa consistently delivers thought-provoking content that sets him apart in the rap genre.

Despite being the last member to join Wu-Tang Clan and being one of the lesser-known members in terms of solo commercial success, Masta Killa has forged a dedicated following. His solo discography, while not extensive, is marked by quality and authenticity. After contributing significantly to numerous Wu-Tang projects and affiliate releases, he released his solo debut, "No Said Date," in 2004 to critical acclaim. His most recent releases, such as "Loyalty Is Royalty" and "Selling My Soul," continue to carry his unique brand of understated yet impactful hip-hop, full of sharp lyricism and solid production. With tracks like "OGs Told Me" and "Therapy," Masta Killa showcases his consistent ability to evolve while maintaining the essence of his artistry that has garnered respect from hip-hop purists and casual listeners alike.
