Bellot Ensemble

Bellot Ensemble is a vibrant UK-based period instrument group that brings 17th-century music to life with energy and a fresh approach. Specializing in early music, the ensemble blends detailed research with expressive performances, often exploring written divisions and the context behind the music they play. They’re known for their collaborations with singers, choirs, and opera companies, making their concerts a dynamic mix of instrumental and vocal works.

The group has performed at major festivals and venues across the UK and Europe, including the Brighton Early Music Festival, Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, and the London Early Music Festival. Bellot Ensemble has also toured with New Sussex Opera and appeared at Snape Maltings as part of the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme. Their debut album, Cupid’s Ground Bass, is set for release in summer 2025 and features 17th-century love arias with newly composed instrumental divisions. With recent accolades like being named a New Generation Baroque Ensemble by BBC Radio 3 and the Royal College of Music, Bellot Ensemble is quickly making a name for themselves as one of the most exciting young groups in the early music scene.
