Buscabulla is a Puerto Rican indie pop duo comprised of Raquel Berrios and Luis Alfredo Del Valle. Formed in 2011, the group is known for its alluring blend of synth-pop, electronic beats, and Latin rhythms, which is seamlessly fused with evocative lyrics and a distinctly Caribbean essence. Raquel, the lead vocalist, and Luis, the multi-instrumentalist, began their musical journey in New York City. Their stage name, 'Buscabulla', is a Spanish colloquial term which roughly translates to 'troublemaker', an apt description for a band that doesn't shy away from exploring and challenging musical norms.
The duo's move back to their homeland in Puerto Rico inspired a deeper connection to their roots, which palpably influences their creations. If the recent releases such as "Mi vida en llamas", "Cantares", and "Eva" are any indication, their sound encapsulates a modern take on traditional influences, while their remixes like "Descripción (Tú) Buscabulla Rework" and "la luz(Fín) [Buscabulla Remix]" showcase their skill in reimagining and infusing fresh energy into existing compositions. Buscabulla's innovative approach to music and their ability to combine cultural identity with contemporary soundscapes have positioned them as a captivating and progressive force in the indie music scene.
