Samuel Kummer is a celebrated German organist known for his brilliant interpretations of both classic and contemporary organ repertoire. Born in Stuttgart in 1968, he studied church music and organ performance at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, where he earned his concert exam under the tutelage of prominent figures like Jon Laukvik. Since 2005, Kummer has served as the organist at the famous Frauenkirche in Dresden, where he regularly performs and oversees the church's rich musical life. His recordings, including albums featuring works by Bach, Vierne, and Duruflé, showcase his deep musicality and technical mastery. In addition to his performing career, Samuel Kummer also teaches organ at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden, inspiring a new generation of organists.
