Irie Sol

Irie Sol is a dynamic band that blends diverse musical styles, including reggae, funk, rock, soul, and hip-hop. Founded by Junior Williams, who hails from Kingston, Jamaica, the group formed in the Midwest in 2003. Irie Sol's sound is characterized by authentic Jamaican chat/DJing, soulful melodies, and a robust instrumental setup featuring bebop horns, wailing guitar, and tight drum and bass. The band has shared the stage with notable acts like The Wailers, Stephen Marley, and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. One of their significant projects is the album *Dred Scott Fitzgerald*, which was recorded at Justin Vernon's studio and reflects their innovative "Lit Hop" genre, a fusion of literature and hip-hop inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's works.
