Verf Lena Egardt is a celebrated Swedish folk musician, born on January 10, 1959, in Älvdalen. She is a renowned riksspelman, a title of mastery given to those skilled in Swedish folk music, and she received this honor in 1978. As a music teacher, Verf Lena instructs violin, viola, cello, and double bass at the music school in Älvdalen. She has been involved in various musical projects, including being a member of the group Älwdalingarna and participating in diverse recordings such as *Balzerjungfrun* and *Morgon efter regn*. Her contributions also extend to radio and TV appearances, both nationally and internationally.

Notably, Verf Lena Egardt was a member of the Zorn Jury from 1998 to 2018, which is responsible for awarding the prestigious Zorn Badges to deserving musicians. She has composed music for the musical *Oðerwais* and collaborated with other artists on albums like *Bohusbeddar och Övdalslieker*. More recently, she released *Tråy Trai*, a children's album in the Älvdalska language made with Kerstin Forslund.
