Martti Siiriäinen is a Finnish singer born on December 24, 1936, in Terijoki. After his family was displaced due to the war, he grew up in Suolahti, Central Finland. Siiriäinen pursued a career as a teacher in Vantaa but also developed his passion for music. He studied singing privately with Lea Piltti and Matti Lehtinen and sang in the Finnish National Opera chorus. His music career took off when he began recording with Unto Haapa-ahon's band in 1969, leading to numerous performances at Finnish dance halls. Some of his notable albums include "Toiset aikuisten tanssit," "Muista minua," "Taas vanhakin nuorentuu," and "Jätkän humppa." His music primarily falls within the pop genre, and he remains a beloved figure in Finnish music for his contributions to the country's dance hall scene.
