Iván Torres

Iván Torres is best known as the lead vocalist of the Spanish band Efecto Pasillo, a group that has become a major force in the Canarian music scene since forming in 2007. Born in 1982 in Jinámar, Gran Canaria, Iván grew up in a large, close-knit family that valued hard work and education. His passion for music started early, inspired by his brother and the lively atmosphere at home, but it wasn’t until his late teens and early twenties that he began to seriously pursue music, eventually co-founding Efecto Pasillo with friends. The band quickly gained recognition for their catchy songs and heartfelt lyrics, earning awards and a loyal fanbase across Spain.

Beyond his work with Efecto Pasillo, Iván has also stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist, releasing heartfelt tracks like “Bailando entre tus dedos” and “A pie de vida,” which showcase his warm voice and knack for emotional storytelling. He’s also taken on new challenges outside of music, including hosting TV shows, but remains deeply connected to his roots in Jinámar and the values of humility and perseverance that shaped him.
