Santi Pulvirenti

Santi Pulvirenti is an accomplished Italian film score composer and musician, born in Catania in 1973. He began his musical journey studying jazz harmony and improvisation and initially gained experience in the independent rock scene with the band Plank. Pulvirenti built a significant part of his early career through a long-standing collaboration starting in 1997 with singer Carmen Consoli, contributing as a guitarist and composer on her albums and tours in Italy and abroad. Over time, he expanded his collaborations to notable artists like Patti Smith, Franco Battiato, and Max Gazzè.

Transitioning into film and television composition in the 2010s, Pulvirenti has become a prominent composer for Italian cinema and TV, known especially for his work on Pif's *The Mafia Kills Only in Summer* (2013), which earned him a David di Donatello nomination. His soundtrack credits include numerous films and series such as *At War with Love*, *Le Indagini di Lolita Lobosco*, *Bang Bang Baby*, and *Last Night of Amore*, for which he received critical acclaim and several award nominations. Pulvirenti's music is marked by a blend of emotive melodies and cinematic depth, reflecting his broad musical background and passion for storytelling through sound.
