TrapFunk & Alivio

TrapFunk & Alivio is a Brazilian music collective formed around 2012/2013 in Salvador de Bahia, born out of a music production workshop led by Felipe Pomar, aka Banha. Their sound is an energetic fusion that blends afrobeat, funk carioca (favela funk), and rhythms native to Salvador and Bahia, creating a vibrant melting pot of global bass influences. The group includes members Dj Alle-x, Manno Lipe, Dj MG, and Banha, and they have collaborated internationally with producers like New York's Kashaka and DJ Moma of Everyday People. Their 2018 EP *Bafro* is a notable example of this cross-cultural mix, featuring artists from Brazil, the Netherlands, and Nigeria. TrapFunk & Alivio's music expresses a deep connection to African rhythms and the richness of rhythmic diversity across the world, celebrating the cultural roots and global journey of their sound.
