Beholder

Beholder is an Italian power metal band formed in 1998 by Patrick Wire. The band quickly gained momentum, playing live and participating in the Italian music contest 'Emergency Rock' early in 1999. They recorded their first demo, 'A Dream Of Eternal Majesty', in July 1999, and later signed with Dragonheart Records, releasing three albums: 'The Legend Begins', 'Wish for Destruction', and 'Lethal Injection'. Their style evolved over time, especially in 'Wish for Destruction', which surprised critics with an epic metal sound. Beholder performed at notable festivals like Gods of Metal and Agglutination Metal Fest before disbanding in 2004. Notable releases include 'Wish for Destruction' and 'Lethal Injection', both showcasing the band's evolving style and maturity in songwriting.

Their performances often featured alongside prominent metal bands, contributing to their growth in the early 2000s metal scene in Italy. After the release of 'Lethal Injection', the band members went in different directions, with vocalist Matt Treasure Leanan Sidhe leaving to pursue other projects. Despite their relatively short career, Beholder left a mark on the Italian metal scene during the early 2000s.
