Quatuor Morphing is a notable musical ensemble that has achieved significant success in the chamber music scene. In May 2011, the quartet won the prestigious 1st Prize at the 7th Osaka International Chamber Music Competition, showcasing their exceptional talent early on. They also secured the 1st Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition of Illzach and earned a master's degree in chamber music with a unanimous "Mention Très Bien" from the CNSMDP under the guidance of David Walter. Quatuor Morphing has been involved in various collaborations, including a project with Patrick Zimmerli, and has recorded albums such as "Ravel - Mendelssohn" and "Hopen Air." Their repertoire includes diverse performances, ranging from string quartet transcriptions to French songs by iconic artists like Piaf, Aznavour, and Brel.
Their members are Christophe Grèzes on soprano saxophone, Eddy Lopez on alto saxophone, Anthony Malkoun on tenor saxophone, and Matthieu Delage on baritone saxophone. The quartet has been active in educational settings, participating in events like the Brasilia Sax Fest and the Andorra Sax Fest as jury members. They have also given concerts and masterclasses in Russia and performed at the Théâtre Trévise in Paris. Quatuor Morphing's music often blends jazz and classical elements, reflecting their versatility and creativity.
