Regurgitate

Regurgitate was a prolific Swedish goregrind band that became known for their abrasive sound and shocking, visceral content. Formed in 1990, the group was most active throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, becoming a staple in the grindcore and extreme metal subcultures. The band's music is characterized by its relentless speed, guttural vocals, and deeply disturbing lyrical themes often centered around medical malpractice, violence, and horror.

Their discography includes several influential releases, with "Effortless Regurgitation...the Torture Sessions" serving as a particularly brutal introduction to the band's unflinching sonic assault. The 2000 release "Carnivorous Erection" solidified their reputation, showcasing the band's technical proficiency and relentless brutality. "Hatefilled Vengeance," coming out in 2002, infused their distinct style with even faster tempos and a rawer production, while "Deviant," released in 2003, saw the band branching into slightly more experimental territory without sacrificing their core sound. 2006's "Sickening Bliss" showed a band that hadn't lost any of its ferocity over the years, delivering an album full of visceral tracks that thrilled and appalled fans in equal measure. Despite their disbanding in 2010, Regurgitate's influence on the genre of grindcore and their blistering sound continue to earn them a place among the most extreme outfits in metal history.
