Soumaya Baalbaki

Soumaya Baalbaki is a Lebanese singer born in Beirut in 1969. She holds a bachelor's degree in Oriental Singing techniques from the Lebanese National Conservatory, where she also taught for a period. Soumaya is known for her authentic approach to music, focusing on "Tarab," a style of Middle Eastern singing that evokes emotional depth and euphoria in listeners. She has participated in numerous prestigious events, including the Tyre International Music Festival, a UNESCO cultural dialogue program in Japan, and performances at the Opera of Cairo. Her album "Arabtango" showcases her unique blend of Arabic classical music with Latin rhythms, offering a fresh take on timeless songs.

Soumaya Baalbaki's career highlights include winning the Golden Microphone Award in Cairo in 1994 and being the main musical act at the opening of the Asian Games in 2001.
