44th Move is a collaborative project between two highly acclaimed London-based jazz artists, Alfa Mist and Richard Spaven. This duo combines their diverse musical influences to create a unique sound. Alfa Mist and Richard Spaven are both well-known figures in the London jazz scene, with a broad range of musical experiences and collaborations. Their debut self-titled EP was released on Black Acre, marking the beginning of their joint musical venture. Richard Spaven, a British drummer, composer, and producer, has worked with numerous artists, including Incognito and Jordan Rakei. His background in jazz and hip-hop influences his approach to music. Alfa Mist, also a versatile artist, brings his own set of influences to the table, making 44th Move a dynamic and innovative project in the jazz scene.
