EJAE

**EJAE**, born Kim Eun-jae on December 6, 1991, in Seoul, is a Korean-American singer, songwriter, and producer who's turned early setbacks into a killer career in K-pop and beyond. She kicked things off as an SM Entertainment trainee at just 11 years old, grinding for nearly a decade alongside future stars like Girls' Generation, but never debuted as a soloist or group member—her contract ended around 2015 after she paused to finish school. Raised partly in Fort Lee, New Jersey, after her family moved when she was a baby, she graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA from the Clive Davis Institute in 2014, studying music production.

After pivoting to songwriting, EJAE exploded with her co-write on Red Velvet's "Psycho," which snagged gold certification in the US and opened doors to hits for aespa, TWICE, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, and more. She's dropped OST tracks like "Midnight Cinderella" from *Dinner Mate* and "Woman of 99 Billion," and even voiced Rumi in *K-Pop: Demon Hunters* while contributing its music. Mentored by Andrew Choi, she's leveled up her skills in vocal production, thanks in part to her fiancé, blending her trainee hustle with fresh beats and global vibes.
