Guillaume Lekeu was a Belgian composer born in 1870. He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Liège and later in Paris with César Franck. Lekeu's music is characterized by its emotional intensity and rich harmonies. He died tragically young at the age of 24 from typhoid fever, leaving behind a small but impressive body of work that includes orchestral pieces, chamber music, and songs.
