Sidiki Diabaté

Sidiki Diabaté is a Malian kora virtuoso and musician carrying forward his family’s legendary musical legacy. Hailing from a long line of griots (traditional West African storytellers and historians), he’s the son of Grammy-winning kora master Toumani Diabaté, and he’s carved his own path by blending ancient Mandé traditions with modern Afro-pop and hip-hop influences. Based in Bamako, Sidiki has become a key figure in Mali’s vibrant music scene, respected for his nimble kora skills and genre-defying collaborations.

His recent tracks, like the soulful “Mido idi ma” and the upbeat “Ca Va Aller,” showcase his knack for merging hypnotic kora melodies with contemporary beats and multilingual lyrics (often in Bambara, French, or English). Whether he’s crafting love anthems (“Mon bébé a moi”) or introspective grooves (“Nigani”), Sidiki bridges generations and genres, keeping the kora’s timeless sound alive while pushing it into fresh, global territories.
