Haddaway

Nestor Alexander Haddaway, known professionally as Haddaway, is a Trinidadian-German singer, best known for his 1993 hit single "What Is Love." Born on January 9, 1965, in Trinidad and Tobago, Haddaway moved to the United States before settling in Germany in the late 1980s. His breakout into the music industry came with the release of the electrifying dance track "What Is Love," which became a global sensation, rising to the top of the charts in many countries and becoming synonymous with early 90s dance music.

Following the success of "What Is Love," Haddaway continued to release music through the 90s and into the new millennium, maintaining a presence in the European dance scene. His discography features a collection of albums and singles that showcase his ability to blend soulful vocals with vibrant dance beats. Though none of his subsequent releases achieved the colossal fame of his debut single, Haddaway sustained a consistent output of music, including tracks like "Thing Called Love," "Chances," and "I Wanna Be for You." His unmistakable voice and dynamic performances have ensured a lasting legacy, particularly in the realm of Eurodance music, and remixes of his iconic hits continue to introduce his sound to new generations.
