Stavesacre

Stavesacre is an American rock band, formed in 1995 in Orange County, California, that has maintained a presence in the alternative metal and post-hardcore scenes with their dynamic sound and introspective lyrics. Comprised of members with a rich background in the hard music scene, the band was founded by vocalist and lyricist Mark Salomon, formerly of The Crucified and Neon Horse, guitarist Jeff Bellew (previously with CHP), bassist Dirk Lemmenes, and drummer Sam West, who had played with Scaterd Few. Stavesacre’s music is characterized by a blend of driving guitar riffs, commanding vocals, and a rhythm section that brings depth and solidity to their intricate compositions.

Over the years, Stavesacre has released several albums that reflect their evolving sound, resilience, and commitment to musical authenticity. Notable releases include "Speakeasy" (1999), an album that showcased the band's melodic sensibilities amidst heavy rock foundations, and "How to Live With a Curse" (2006), which continued to cement their place in the alternative scene. The EP "Stavesacre / Denison Marrs" served as a testament to the band's collaborative spirit, while "Against the Silence" (2009) and "MCMXCV" (2017) display a band unafraid to explore and refine their sound while staying true to their core identity. Despite not achieving prominent mainstream success, Stavesacre has garnered a loyal following and critical acclaim for their compelling music and thought-provoking lyrical content.
