MC Jin

MC Jin is a Chinese-American rapper, actor, and songwriter who first made his mark in the early 2000s as a battle rap champion on BET's “106 & Park” Freestyle Friday segment. Born Jin Au-Yeung in Miami, Florida, he became the first Asian-American solo rapper to be signed to a major U.S. record label when he joined Ruff Ryders Entertainment. His debut album, The Rest Is History, dropped in 2004 and showcased his lyrical skill and cultural pride.

Over the years, MC Jin has balanced his music career with acting, public speaking, and community activism. He has released material in both English and Cantonese, and he's had a strong presence in both the U.S. and Asian hip-hop scenes. With tracks like “Stop The Hatred” and “Rise Again,” his more recent work reflects themes of social justice, identity, and resilience, highlighting his growth as both an artist and a voice for representation.
