Those Amongst Us Are Wolves

Those Amongst Us Are Wolves is a post-rock band formed from the remnants of other groups. The band began with Mark Oliver on guitar and Tom Brill on drums, who started jamming together. They were later joined by Chris O'Connell on bass in 2011, and Josh Bate on keys and synths, completing the lineup as a four-piece. Their early work includes albums like *Chaotic Love Stories and Irrational Behaviour* and *This State Is Conscious*. The band's music often explores themes of man versus nature and industry, aiming to create a space for listeners to interpret their own narratives. After Josh Bate left the band in 2014, they continued to write new music and tour.

The band members hail from urban and rural areas in the West Midlands, England, with influences from both environments, though their instrumental style makes it harder to pinpoint direct geographical inspirations. Their name, "Those Amongst Us Are Wolves," was chosen for its sound and thematic fit with the post-rock genre. The band has been involved in charity events and continues to evolve their sound, as seen in more recent releases like *Decode.Decay* and *Split*.
