I AM I

**I AM I** is a British power metal band led by vocalist ZP Theart, formerly of DragonForce. The band was formed after ZP's departure from DragonForce in 2010. I AM I released their debut album, **Event Horizon**, in 2012, which was notable for being the first metal album released solely on USB. The album was well-received and featured a blend of melodic metal and rock. Following the debut, the band released singles like **"You're the Voice"** (a cover of John Farnham's hit) and **"See You Again"**, a hard rock power ballad that became their most popular song.

The band has experienced several lineup changes over the years. Initially, Jacob Ziemba and Neil Salmon were part of the founding lineup, but they left in 2014 due to internal struggles. Despite these changes, I AM I has maintained a strong presence in the metal scene, performing at notable festivals like Bloodstock Open Air and Download. A second studio album was anticipated but has yet to be released.
