Gerry Dee is a Canadian comedian, actor, writer, and producer, probably best known for his starring role as the lovable-but-clueless teacher Mr. D in the CBC sitcom of the same name. Before his comedy career took off, Gerry was actually a high school teacher himself, coaching hockey and teaching history and physical education. He eventually transitioned to stand-up, winning the prestigious "Just For Laughs" Homegrown Comic Competition in 2002. He's since released several successful comedy specials, including *Best Medicine*, *Dodgeball & Gravy Boats*, *Playing Games*, and *Let's Be Honest*, often drawing on his experiences as a teacher and father for material.
Beyond stand-up, Gerry has appeared on numerous television shows and in films, and he's also a bestselling author. He's known for his relatable, everyman style of humor, poking fun at everyday family life and the absurdities of the world around us. If you're looking for a comedian who's both hilarious and down-to-earth, Gerry Dee is definitely worth checking out.
