Introitus

Introitus is a progressive rock band from Vansbro, Sweden, known for their family-oriented lineup. The band was formed by Mats Bender on keyboards and his wife Anna Jobs Bender on lead vocals. Their children, Mattias Bender on drums and Johanna Bender (formerly a member, now contributing backing vocals), have also been integral to the group. Other members include Pär Helje on guitar, Dennis Lindkvist on bass, and Henrik Björlind, who left in 2017 and was replaced by Linnéa Syrjälä. Introitus' music often blends sweeping keys, synth, and folk elements with heavier prog influences. Their discography includes albums like "Fantasy" (2007), "Elements" (2011), "Anima" (2014), and "Shadows" (2019), all of which received critical acclaim, including perfect scores from "Background Magazine."

Their music explores themes of family, love, and human connection, often incorporating organic and earthy sounds. The band's style is a unique blend of neo-progressive rock with elements of jazz and folk, creating a rich and emotional listening experience. Each album builds upon the themes of the previous ones, culminating in a discography that is both personal and universally relatable.
