Crônica Mendes

Crônica Mendes is a Brazilian rapper known for blending hip-hop with various musical styles such as MPB, indie, pop rock, and R&B. He originally began his career as part of the rap group GOG and co-founded another group named A Família in 2000 alongside Denis Preto Realista, Gato Preto, and DJ Bira. Crônica Mendes is celebrated for his energetic performances and poetic lyrics, which reflect his roots in periphery poetry. He has collaborated with numerous artists including Edi Rock of Racionais MCs and MV Bill. Over the years, he has released several albums and has been recognized with awards such as the Melhor Single in 2019 and Melhor Álbum do Ano in 2021 at the 5º Elemento Hip Hop awards.

In recent years, Crônica Mendes has continued to innovate, releasing albums like "Mais de uma Tribo" in 2024, which featured the use of immersive audio formats, marking a new level of production quality in his work. His music showcases a deep connection to Brazilian rap while exploring broader musical horizons.
