Quartetto Adorno

Quartetto Adorno is an Italian string quartet formed in 2015, named after philosopher Theodor Adorno, who saw chamber music as a beacon of authenticity and perfection amid tough times. The group—Edoardo Zosi and Liù Pelliciari on violins, Benedetta Bucci on viola, and Stefano Cerrato on cello—hit the ground running, snagging three prizes at the 2017 International String Quartet Competition 'XI Premio Paolo Borciani' (a first for any Italian quartet in its 30-year history), plus wins at the 2018 'V. E. Rimbotti' competition and a spot as artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.

They've lit up stages at spots like Wigmore Hall, Kings Place in London, Ravenna Festival, and more, while dropping killer recordings like their 2019 debut with Zemlinsky and Brahms alongside clarinettist Alessandro Carbonare, plus gems featuring Castelnuovo-Tedesco's complete string quartets, Franck's quintet, and Enescu's octet. With support from CIDIM and a rep for tight, expressive playing, these guys are keeping classical chamber music fresh and alive.
