Kroncong Jancuk

Kroncong Jancuk is a fresh and energetic band from Bali that’s shaking up the local music scene by blending traditional kroncong with modern sounds and Balinese cultural elements. Led by Gede Phaii, the group was formed out of a shared concern for the fading popularity of traditional music, and they’re on a mission to make it relevant and fun for new generations. Their performances are lively, often featuring traditional Balinese attire and ending with a jogeg dance—a nod to local traditions, but with a playful twist that keeps things respectful and engaging.

The band’s lineup includes Diah on vocals, Yoga Tomcat on ukulele cak, Eka Panju on lukulele cuk, Mang Pur on bass, Gus Bajra on airphone, Ngurah Godel on kendang, and Eka Saputra on drums. Kroncong Jancuk’s music is rooted in kroncong but isn’t afraid to experiment, mixing in contemporary themes and local slang. Their recent releases, like “Mejangeran,” “Indonesia Masih Ada,” “Harapku,” and “Kembali,” showcase their signature style: catchy tunes, cultural pride, and a whole lot of Balinese spirit.
