Wolf Parade

Wolf Parade is an indie rock band formed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 2003. The group is known for its distinctive blend of art-rock, synth-driven melodies, and energetic performances. The founding members include vocalist and guitarist Dan Boeckner, keyboardist and vocalist Spencer Krug, drummer Arlen Thompson, and original bassist Hadji Bakara, who was later replaced by Dante DeCaro. The band's raw and powerful sound captured attention early on, with their debut full-length album "Apologies to the Queen Mary" released in 2005 to critical acclaim. This album set the tone for their reputation as a formidable force in the indie rock scene, earning them a nomination for the Polaris Music Prize in 2006.

As they continued to evolve, Wolf Parade released a string of albums that solidified their presence in the music world. "At Mount Zoomer" (2008) and "EXPO 86" (2010) continued to build on their spirited, anthemic indie rock. After a hiatus that began in 2011, the band returned in 2016 with fresh material and a series of live performances. They released the "Wolf Parade - EP 4" in 2016, signalling their return to the studio. Further showcasing their ever-evolving sound, Wolf Parade came out with "Cry Cry Cry" in 2017 and their latest full-length album, "Thin Mind" in 2020. While each release brings new elements to the band's sound, Wolf Parade's commitment to emotionally resonant songwriting and sonic experimentation remains the constant thread throughout their discography.
