Jarun

**Jarun** is a Polish band known for blending folk elements with black metal, though they are often classified under the genre of **Progressive Folk/Black Metal**. The project was initiated around 2008 by guitarist **Zagreus**, who began experimenting with combining folk music with black metal. Initially, Jarun had a strong folk influence, incorporating traditional instruments and melodies, but black metal elements were always present. The band is based in the Lesser Poland region, specifically in areas like Nowy Sącz and Kraków, and remains active in the music scene.
