Timothy Anderson

Timothy Anderson is a renowned trombonist and educator. He serves as Associate Professor of Trombone at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, a position he has held since 2006. As a performer, Mr. Anderson is the Principal Trombone of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, where he has appeared as a soloist multiple times. He is also an active member of the Elysian Trombone Consort, which has premiered numerous new works for trombone quartet. Additionally, Anderson has been involved with the Carillon Brass Quintet for over 20 years and has performed in over 1,500 educational concerts. His advocacy for new music has led to the commissioning and recording of several original works, including the albums "Trav'ler" and "Ex Libris."

As a chamber musician, Timothy Anderson performs extensively with various ensembles and orchestras, including the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops orchestras, Columbus Symphony, and ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. He has participated in significant events like the Eastern Trombone Workshop and the International Trombone Festival. His latest CD release, "Trav'ler," features new works for trombone and piano. Anderson's educational background includes degrees from the University of South Carolina and the New England Conservatory, with additional studies at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.
