Höwler

Höwler is a Thrash Metal band hailing from Costa Rica, originally formed in 2009. The band’s lineup includes Carlos “Charlie” Díaz on vocals, Jose “Fucas” Mora on bass, Renan Obando and David Mora on guitars, and Diego Arce on drums. In 2013, Höwler merged with another local band called Inhaler, choosing to keep the Höwler name due to its stronger presence and achievements in the metal scene. Known for their aggressive and energetic thrash sound, they have toured extensively throughout Costa Rica and performed internationally in Mexico, Panama, Nicaragua, and Honduras. Höwler has also opened for notable acts like DRI, Whiplash, Angelus Apatrida, and Solstice, gaining recognition in the regional metal community.

The band has self-produced multiple EPs and full-length albums, achieving significant milestones including a nomination for Best Costa Rican Band at the Independent Music Awards in Spain. In 2020, Höwler signed with Ragnarök Records to release their third album, *No More Circus!*, which was mixed and mastered by David Sanchez of Havok. They continued their partnership with Ragnarök Records along with CDN Records and Doc Gator Records for their 2022 album *Descendants of Evil*. Höwler remains a prominent force in Central American thrash metal, known for their relentless energy and dedication to the underground metal scene.
