Space Monkey Mafia

Space Monkey Mafia is a six-piece ska rock band based in the Twin Cities. Formed in 2016, the group combines elements of '90s and '00s ska and punk with contemporary influences, creating a high-energy, horn-driven sound. The band members met while attending McNally Smith College in Saint Paul, where they began performing together. Over the years, Space Monkey Mafia has built a reputation for their lively and danceable live performances, touring extensively across the U.S. and logging over 250 shows in their first few years. Their discography includes albums like *Sorry For Your Time* and *Banned From California*, as well as the *Captain Crook* EP, showcasing their ability to craft catchy, energetic music.

The band's lineup includes diverse musical backgrounds, with influences ranging from jazz and bluegrass to punk and metal. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Space Monkey Mafia returned to the stage in 2021 with renewed energy, selling out their first show back. They continue to tour and produce music, blending anti-establishment themes with self-care messages in their songs. Their recent releases reflect their ongoing commitment to creating engaging, ska-infused rock music.
