Skyharbor is an Indian/American progressive metal band that originated as a virtual collaboration project between guitarist Keshav Dhar in New Delhi, India, and American drummer Anup Sastry, who has since left the band. The project blossomed into a full-fledged band when they were joined by vocalist Dan Tompkins, formerly of Tesseract, and bassist Nikhil Rufus Raj, as well as guitarist Devesh Dayal. Skyharbor bridges the gap between the intricate and technical elements of progressive metal and the more modern sounds associated with metalcore and djent.

The band made waves in the international music scene with their lush soundscapes and complex rhythms, releasing their debut album "Blinding White Noise: Illusion & Chaos" in 2012 to critical acclaim. Their follow-up, "Guiding Lights" (2014), further cemented their position as a rising force within the genre, showcasing an evolution in their sound to even more nuanced and expansive musical territories. Skyharbor's third album, "Sunshine Dust," released in 2018, highlighted a continued progression and was welcomed by fans for its emotive melodies and atmospheric elements, a hallmark of the band's sonic identity.
