The (International) Noise Conspiracy

The (International) Noise Conspiracy is a Swedish rock band with a penchant for mixing a garage rock sound with a strong political message inspired by Marxist thoughts and the Situationist International movement. Formed in the late 1990s, their music is a rallying cry against the capitalist system, aiming to fuse left-wing, revolutionary ideology with punk melodicism and an infectious, upbeat energy. The band's distinct approach to songwriting is spearheaded by Dennis Lyxzén, also known for his work with the influential hardcore band Refused.

Their body of work, including politically charged albums like "Survival Sickness" and "A New Morning, Changing Weather", shaped the soundtrack for a generation of youths inclined towards activism and social change. They reached a creative zenith with critically acclaimed releases such as "The Cross of My Calling", which showcased a growing sophistication in their music while maintaining the group's revolutionary zeal. The (International) Noise Conspiracy also saw success with their energizing live performances, where the palpable combination of their rousing messages and visceral riffs made them stand out in the international punk and alternative rock scene. Through EPs like "Up For Sale" and "Bigger Cages, Longer Chains", the band explored new sonics while continuing to challenge the status quo, leaving an enduring legacy on the politically-conscious music of the early 2000s.
