Django Bates

Django Bates is a British jazz musician, composer, and multi-instrumentalist born on October 2, 1960. Bates plays piano, keyboards, and tenor horn, and has been a key figure in the British jazz scene since the 1980s.

Throughout his career, Bates has led several notable bands, including Human Chain, Delightful Precipice, and Belovèd. He was also a prominent member of the influential jazz orchestra Loose Tubes. Bates has released numerous albums as a leader, including "Saluting Sgt. Pepper" with the Frankfurt Radio Big Band, and "The Study of Touch" with his trio Belovèd.
