Ngô Hồng Quang

Ngô Hồng Quang is a Vietnamese musician, singer, and composer born on December 14, 1983. He graduated from the Traditional Music Department at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2006, majoring in đàn nhị (Vietnamese two-chord fiddle), and later earned a master's degree in contemporary composition from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the Netherlands. Quang is known for blending traditional Vietnamese folk music with contemporary sounds, exemplified in his 2018 album *Nam Nhi*, which fuses the UNESCO-listed Quan Ho folk singing with Western modern music elements. His work honors Vietnamese musical heritage while pushing creative boundaries, as seen in albums like *Quang* (2007), *Nhìn Lại* (2019), and *Tình Đàn*.

Aside from his recordings, Ngô Hồng Quang has been active internationally, performing traditional music in Europe and around the world. He also worked as a lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music before focusing more on composition and performance. His music often features traditional instruments such as đàn nhị, đàn tranh, and incorporates influences from classical and folk styles, earning him a reputation as a leading contemporary Vietnamese artist who bridges past and present in innovative ways.
