Sayani Palit is an Indian classical and semi-classical vocalist, playback singer, music composer, and performer from Kolkata, West Bengal. Born on July 5, 1989, she began her musical journey at the age of four under the tutelage of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and later learned from Padma Bhushan Girija Devi. Sayani has worked extensively in Tollywood and made her Bollywood debut with the song "Ove Janiye Reprise" for the film "Katti Batti" in 2015. She is known for her versatility, having worked on various projects including films, TV commercials, and music albums. Sayani has received several awards, including the Benadryl Big Golden Voice of India Season 2 title and a National Scholarship Award. She is also a music educator and is pursuing a Ph.D. in music, focusing on the influence of Thumri in film music.
