KJRGL is a six-member boy group formed by Sony Music Japan and Sony Music Korea, consisting of three Japanese and three Korean members. The group's name stands for "Kind(of) Just Right Good Luck," and it also combines the Japanese word "Kujira" and the Korean word "Golae," both meaning whale. Members include Akira, Kouki, and Riku from Japan, and Dien, Saeron, and Isaac from Korea. Each member has a background in music competitions, with Kouki participating in "Produce 101 Japan," Riku and Dien in "Boys Planet," and Isaac having trained at a prominent K-pop agency. Saeron is the son of Korean singer Han Seo-kyeong.
KJRGL made their Japanese debut on September 18, 2024, with the single "Overture ~ The Blue Wave," following a pre-debut release of "Prologue ~ The Deepest Blue" on September 4. Their music is part of a larger narrative about reclaiming their voices, as seen in their debut EP "Prelude ~ The Brilliant Blue," which features diverse musical styles and themes. The group aims to promote their music globally through Sony Music's international network.
