Neno Belan

Neno Belan is an acclaimed Croatian musician, best known for his work as the frontman of the band Đavoli (The Devils), which was extremely popular during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Born on February 2, 1962, in Split, now part of Croatia, Belan began his career in music in the early 1980s. Đavoli's style was characterized by a blend of Mediterranean influences, rock and roll, and new wave, and they were among the leading acts on the former Yugoslav music scene.

After Đavoli disbanded in the mid-1990s, Belan pursued a solo career that continued to endear him to audiences. His solo works often reflect a deep connection to the Adriatic Sea and the Dalmatian lifestyle, imbuing his music with a distinctive, mellow sound that intertwines rock with elements of pop and chanson. Some of his most recognizable releases include hits such as "Ajmo U Đir" and "Afrika". His artistry extends beyond performing to songwriting, proving his versatility within the music industry. Over the years, Neno Belan has secured his position as one of the most cherished musicians in Croatia, maintaining a strong fan base through his timeless melodies and evocative lyrics.
