Pato Banton is a British reggae artist known for his socially conscious lyrics and energetic live performances. Born Patrick Murray in Birmingham, England, in 1961, he emerged in the early 1980s as part of the UK's burgeoning reggae scene. Banton's music often tackles issues of racism, poverty, and social justice, and he has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including UB40, Aswad, and Sinéad O'Connor. His most famous songs include "Baby Come Back," "Never Give In," and "Legalize It."
