Cyntia was a Japanese all-female heavy metal band that made waves in the Girls Metal Band Boom of the early 2010s. Formed in 2011, they were one of the first acts from this movement to sign with a major label when they joined Victor Entertainment in 2013. The band released several albums including "Lady Made," "Limit Break," and "Woman" before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2018. Their music blended heavy metal with more melodic and pop-influenced sounds, as evidenced by tracks like "閃光ストリングス" (Senko Strings) which was used as an anime theme song.
