Brent & Madeline

Brent & Madeline is a duo from Monrovia, California, blending indie-pop, twee, and anti-folk styles with a stripped-back, intimate sound. They first gained attention with their debut cover of Elvis Presley’s "Wooden Heart" in early 2024 and have since released originals like "Hey Lloyd," "And If I Stayed," and "Come Closer (So You Can Hear Me)." Their music combines sunny jangly guitar-pop with delicate, mellow vocals reminiscent of artists like Belle & Sebastian and Jenny and Johnny, creating a charming indie vibe that draws in a dedicated "in the know" fanbase.

The duo consists of Brent Randall and Madeline Doctor, the latter also known as a founding member, cellist, and songwriter for the Houston-based chamber rock band Mystery Loves Company. Brent & Madeline’s work showcases a mellow yet expressive indie sound that has been positively received in indie music circles, highlighting their knack for blending subtle emotion with catchy melodic arrangements.
